Weldability of Additive Manufactured Stainless Steel in Resistance Spot Welding

The manufacture of complicated automobile components that are joined by resistance spot welding requires considerable cost and time. use additive manufacturing technology to helps reduce the overall time consumption yields high accuracy. In this study, weldability conventional (C) 316L stainless steel manufactured (AM) was evaluated analyzed. After deriving lobe diagram for both materials, monitoring data, nugget diameter, tensile shear strength, hardness were findings study have opened up a massive potential in materials’ industries forthcoming years. When AM welded constant current control mode, diameter 4.7 mm, which is below international standard, could be secured. Through power however, improved sufficient level 5.8 mm.
